How The Lottery Corporation uses Altus to centralise project, financial and risk reporting after its Tabcorp demerger

Following the Tabcorp demerger, The Lottery Corporation (TLC) set out to strengthen how projects and programs were governed and delivered, while introducing a fit-for-purpose project and portfolio management platform. An independent assessment highlighted gaps in standardised frameworks, tooling, and reporting, with challenges including fragmented systems, manual processes, inconsistent data, and limited visibility across projects, budgets, and risks. To address this, TLC established a PMO and partnered with Sensei to implement Altus, rolling out improved governance practices and technology in parallel under a tight timeline, supported by strong change management and broad training across the project community.

Since go-live, TLC has centralised project, financial, and risk information into a single system, replacing scattered files and manual reporting with consistent, real-time visibility. Project managers now spend significantly less time on administration and status reporting, while executives have clearer oversight of initiatives, budgets, and strategic alignment. The organisation has gained more reliable reporting, clearer accountability, and smoother project handovers, with further enhancements planned — including expanded scheduling, resourcing, and AI-assisted reporting capabilities.
