3. Additional Updates

Ref #

Description

Priority

#28309

We’ve added the Power BI Report Viewer control to enable reports that are automatically scoped to specific records on forms.

We’ve added the Power BI Report Viewer control to enable reports that are automatically trimmed based on their location. These include:

  • New Status Report tabs:
  • Second tab on Project Tracking.
  • Second tab on Program form.
  • Second tab on Portfolio form.
  • New ‘Report Viewer Config’ settings to link Paginated Power BI Reports to the new tabs.

Note: the new tabs will initially be hidden until the new paginated reports are available and configured

The new method provides better security since users can only access reports and data, they have permission to.

Microsoft will be phasing out iFrame embedding for security reasons, so switching to the new method is recommended for all customers.

This impacts customers that already have embedded paginated reports in their environment, please make sure that these tabs are not creating duplicates.

More information on this feature can be found here.
